Designed for travelers who want to discover the Amazon in all its splendor. Its six days allow you to explore the rainforest at your own pace, enjoy each activity without rushing, and experience a more complete, flexible, and authentic adventure.
Ideal for those seeking a deep connection with nature and the extraordinary biodiversity of Amazon Tahuayo Paradise.
Day 1 – Arrival & First Jungle Adventure
Reception at the airport or your hotel in Iquitos. Transfer by car to the port, followed by a
scenic 3.5-hour boat journey along the Amazon and Tahuayo Rivers to Amazon Tahuayo
Paradise Lodge.
Enjoy a welcome drink made from local fruits before checking into your private bungalow
or cabin. After lunch, begin your first Amazon adventure.
Afternoon Activity (3:00 PM):
Guided jungle walk to search for monkeys, sloths, giant water lilies, and other rainforest
wildlife.
Dinner: 7:00 PM
Night Excursion:
Boat ride in search of caimans, frogs, snakes, and other nocturnal wildlife while
experiencing the sounds of the rainforest.
Day 2 – Poison Dart Frog Expedition
Breakfast: 8:00 AM
Explore the Ceiba Trail, one of the best places to search for the Amazon’s colorful poison
dart frogs, including Ranitomeya uakarii, Atelopus, Ranitomeya ventrimaculata, and
Ranitomeya reticulata. Along the way, observe colorful birds and learn about the
incredible biodiversity of the rainforest.
Lunch: 1:00 PM
Continue exploring the surrounding forest and waterways in search of additional wildlife
before returning to the lodge.
Dinner: 7:00 PM
Night Activity:
Choose between a boat excursion, jungle walk, or canoe trip to search for caimans, bats,
nocturnal birds, and other nighttime wildlife.
Day 3 – Primates, Canoeing & Piranha Fishing
Breakfast: 8:00 AM
Journey into the flooded Igapó Forest in search of howler monkeys, pygmy marmosets,
capuchin monkeys, sloths, and a variety of bird species.
Lunch: 1:00 PM
Enjoy traditional piranha fishing, followed by a peaceful canoe excursion through the
Tahuayo River and nearby creeks, where you may spot dolphins, kingfishers, herons, and
other wildlife.
Dinner: 7:00 PM
Night Excursion:
Search for caimans, capybaras, nocturnal birds, and other rainforest animals.
Day 4 – Charo Lake Exploration
Breakfast: 8:00 AM
Spend the day exploring Lake Charo, one of the most beautiful lakes in the Tahuayo
region. Travel by boat through narrow waterways while searching for monkeys, sloths,
colorful birds, giant river otters (when conditions allow), and other wildlife.
There will also be opportunities for canoeing, photography, birdwatching, and enjoying the
peaceful scenery of the Amazon.
Dinner: 7:00 PM
Evening Activity – Amazon Campfire & Storytelling
Gather around a campfire (weather permitting) and enjoy traditional Amazonian stories,
legends, and myths shared by your naturalist guide or local community members. Relax
beneath the stars, listen to the sounds of the rainforest, and experience one of the
Amazon’s oldest traditions before returning for a restful night.
Day 5 – Adventure Day
Breakfast: 8:00 AM

Hardcore Jungle Hike through remote rainforest trails
Extended Canoeing Expedition
Exploration of remote lakes and hidden waterways

This day is designed for travelers looking for a deeper and more adventurous Amazon
experience.
Dinner: 7:00 PM
Depending on the activity selected, enjoy the evening at the lodge or spend the night
camping in the rainforest under the guidance of your naturalist guide.
Day 6 – Amazon Sunrise & Departure
Optional Sunrise Excursion (5:30 AM):
Experience the unforgettable Amazon sunrise while enjoying birdwatching along the
Tahuayo River.
Breakfast: 8:00 AM
Take one final walk through the Igapó flooded forest, searching for howler monkeys,
pygmy marmosets, owl monkeys, the prehistoric-looking Hoatzin, and other fascinating
wildlife.
Lunch: 1:00 PM
After lunch, depart by boat and vehicle for your transfer to the airport or your hotel in
Iquitos.
