The most recommended program to enjoy the jungle with time and without rushing.
Day 1 – Arrival & First Jungle Adventure
Reception at the airport or your hotel in Iquitos. Transfer by car to the port, followed by a
scenic 3.5-hour boat journey along the Amazon and Tahuayo Rivers to Amazon Tahuayo
Paradise Lodge.
Enjoy a welcome drink made from local fruits before checking into your private bungalow
or cabin. After lunch and a short rest, begin your first Amazon adventure.
Afternoon Activity (3:00 PM):Guided jungle walk to search for monkeys, sloths, giant water
lilies, and other rainforest wildlife.
Dinner: 7:00 PM
Night Excursion:
Boat excursion to search for caimans, frogs, snakes, and other nocturnal wildlife while
enjoying the sounds of the Amazon rainforest.
Day 2 – Amazon Trails & Wildlife
Explore the Ceiba Trail, home to giant rainforest trees, and search for howler monkeys,
other primates, and some of the 600+ bird species found in the Tamshiyacu-Tahuayo
Reserve, including the beautiful Green-backed Trogon.
After lunch, enjoy a boat ride along the Tahuayo River and short walks to observe the
fascinating Hoatzin (Dinosaur Bird) and the impressive Victoria Amazonica, the world’s
largest water lily. As you return to the lodge, continue spotting wildlife along the river.
Dinner: 7:00 PM
Night Walk:
Search for tarantulas, snakes, nocturnal birds, porcupines, frogs, and other creatures of
the Amazon.
Day 3 – Choose Your Amazon Adventure
Breakfast: 8:00 AM
Today offers flexible activities based on your interests. Choose from:
Jungle hiking
Canoeing or kayaking
Traditional fishing
Swimming in the Amazon (weather permitting)
Dolphin watching
Exploring lakes and lagoons
Wildlife photography
Learning about medicinal plants
Searching for pygmy marmosets, capuchin monkeys, sloths, and colorful birds
After lunch, visit El Chino Community to learn about local Amazonian culture before
returning to the lodge.
Dinner: 7:00 PM
Evening Canoe Excursion:
Enjoy a peaceful canoe ride under the stars while listening to the unforgettable sounds of
the rainforest.
Day 4 – Amazon Sunrise & Departure
Optional Sunrise Excursion (5:30 AM):
Experience the breathtaking Amazon sunrise while observing birds and the awakening of
the rainforest along the Tahuayo River.
Breakfast: 8:00 AM
Take a final walk through the Igapó flooded forest, searching for howler monkeys, pygmy
marmosets, owl monkeys, the Hoatzin, and other unique Amazon wildlife.
Lunch: 1:00 PM
After lunch, depart by boat and vehicle for your transfer to the airport or your hotel in
Iquitos.

Daily activities and schedules may be adjusted due to weather conditions, river
levels, wildlife movements, or other natural events to ensure the best possible
experience and the safety of our guests. Simply coordinate with your naturalist
guide, who will be happy to recommend the best activities based on your interests
and current conditions.
