Designed for adventurous travelers seeking a genuine wilderness experience, the
Amazon Rainforest Survival Expedition takes you deep into the heart of the
Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Regional Conservation Area, one of the most biodiverse
ecosystems on Earth.

Accompanied by native guides born and raised along the Tahuayo River, you will learn
essential jungle survival techniques while exploring remote rainforest trails, hidden
waterways, and untouched landscapes far from conventional tourist routes.
Throughout this expedition, you will learn how to find food and water in the rainforest,
identify medicinal plants, build shelters using natural materials, navigate through the
jungle, catch and prepare piranhas and other native fish, and experience firsthand the
traditional survival skills that have been passed down for generations in the Peruvian
Amazon.

Day 1 – Beginning of the Expedition

Upon arrival in Iquitos, you will be welcomed at the airport or your hotel and
transferred to Puerto Ganso Azul. From there, enjoy a scenic 3.5-hour boat journey
along the Amazon and Tahuayo Rivers to Amazon Tahuayo Paradise. Upon arrival, you
will be greeted with a refreshing welcome drink made from fresh Amazonian fruits and
enjoy lunch at the lodge. After a safety briefing and an introduction to the expedition,
you will begin your journey deep into the rainforest to establish your first wilderness
camp.
Tonight, you will sleep at your campsite in the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
Day 2 – Jungle Survival Experience
Spend the day exploring remote rainforest trails while learning essential survival skills,
including navigation, finding fresh water, identifying edible and medicinal plants,
traditional fishing techniques, and building shelters using natural materials. After a
night walk to observe the rainforest’s fascinating nocturnal wildlife, you will return to
your campsite.
Tonight, you will sleep at your campsite deep in the rainforest.

Day 3 – Wildlife Exploration & Survival Skills

Continue your expedition through pristine rainforest, navigating hidden waterways and
exploring areas rich in wildlife. Observe monkeys, colorful birds, reptiles, amphibians,
and many other species in their natural habitat. Throughout the day, you will continue
developing advanced survival techniques and preparing meals using traditional
Amazonian methods.
Tonight, you will once again sleep at your campsite in the middle of the Amazon
rainforest.

Day 4 – Complete Wilderness Experience

Enjoy a full day immersed in the rainforest, strengthening the survival skills learned
during the expedition while experiencing one of the world’s most extraordinary natural
environments. As evening falls, gather around the campsite to share stories and enjoy
your final night surrounded by the sounds of the Amazon.
Tonight will be your last night sleeping at your campsite in the heart of the rainforest.

Day 5 – Return to Amazon Tahuayo Paradise

After breakfast, you will begin your return journey to Amazon Tahuayo Paradise, where
you can enjoy a well-deserved shower, relax in the comfort of our lodge, and recover
after four unforgettable days in the wilderness. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner
prepared with fresh local ingredients while sharing the memories of your incredible
Amazon survival experience.
Overnight at Amazon Tahuayo Paradise.

Day 6 – Return to Iquitos

After breakfast, or after lunch if preferred, we will begin our return journey by boat
along the Tahuayo and Amazon Rivers to the city of Iquitos. Upon arrival at the port,
our staff will transfer you to your hotel or the airport according to your flight schedule.
